Wheelchair Hoists

Our heavyweight hoist has been built by craftsmen using top grade components for reliability and durability.

The purpose of the hoist is to facilitate the loading and unloading of electric scooters/wheelchairs (up to a maximum weight of 91kg) into the load space of estates vehicles, people carriers and some hatchbacks. As a general rule, if the scooter/wheelchair will physically fit into the load space of your vehicle then the hoist will most likely work.

The operation of the hoist is simplicity itself, it is equipped with a control box mounted on the jib section, and two push buttons are provided for up and down functions. The control box is provided with a circuit breaker which can be reset to prevent damage by accidental overloading of the system. Rotation of the jib is manually operated, but requires little effort as a result of the phosphor bronze pivot bearing. A power in and out can also be fitted to help with this operation if required. A locking mechanism is provided for lowering the jib for storage purposes when not in use.
