Efficiency Starts With Design. The New Cabstar looks sleeker, more modern and is even more space-efficient than before. Its shorter than the previous Cabstar, yet advanced design means thers no reduction in load space and you benifit from a more spacious cab.

The Cab over engine design gives New Cabstar the best ratio of cargo length to overall length in its class. Its also slimmer than its competitors, which combined with the tight turning circle make it especiallyeasy manoeuvre. New Cabstar takes you into narrow and busy streets where other trucks fail to deliver.

All The Power You Need. New Euro 4 compatible 2.5 litre and 3.0litre engines bring extra power, torque and economy to the New Cabstar. There are two common rail direct injection diesel units availible, with a choice of three outputs: 110HP/250Nm, 130HP/270Nm and 150hn/350Nm. These advanced engines, especially developed for Commercial Vehicle Use, are quiter and more fuel efficient.

All three engines give you ample power to climb hills, even when loaded, with either 5 speed or (for the 130HP and 150HP units) 6 speed transmissions. You can specify a Limited Slip Differential, which maintains drive even if one of the rear wheels is on a low grip surface, such as ice or mud. 

Safety Truough Strength and Agility. We've made safeguarding you and your loads a high priority. Consequently, front and rear disc brakes are standard for all the New Cabstar range, with ABS and EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution), for optimum braking performance available on all twin rear wheel models. The New Cabstar's predictable and positive road holding, plus class leading front and side visibility from its new cab, are positive safety benifits. Heated door mirrors and an automatic dipping rear view mirror are also available on MWB and LWB, and the new wiper design clears a large expanse of windscreen.

All of these active safety measures are supported by effective passive safety features. The New Cabstar now has a reinforced cabin structure, protected by a sturdy shock absorbing front bumper, to provide car like safety performance. Independant tests have demonstrated that in frontal impacts, New Cabstar's safety level is equal to that of a passenger car. The driver and window seat passenger have height adjustable seatbelts with pretensioners, and the option of airbags. Both cabin doors are fitted with anti-intrusion bars, to maintain the integrity of the tough protective shell that the New Cabstar provides
